Search Foundations
Fix the foundation once so the data is trustworthy from day one.
You're spending on search and you can't prove any of it works
Maybe you've been paying someone for SEO for months. The reports arrive, full of impressions, positions and graphs pointing gently upward. Enquiries haven't moved. Or you're running ads yourself, the dashboard says conversions are happening, and the phone stays quiet. You can't tell whether the work is failing or the measurement is, and that difference decides everything you do next.
Or the data itself is the problem. GA4 was set up in a hurry by whoever was around. Conversion events fire twice, or never. Half the recorded traffic is your own team. The one question that matters, how many enquiries did search bring in last month, cannot be answered from what you have. Every decision made on those numbers is a guess wearing a spreadsheet.
Or the site is simply new and nothing exists yet. No Search Console, no tracking, no keyword plan. You'd rather set it up properly once than pay a monthly retainer to work around a broken base forever.
What you
actually get
Every line below is a deliverable, not an intention. If it's on this list it's in the proposal, and if it's not on this list it isn't included.
A full technical audit, prioritised by impact
Crawl errors, speed, indexing, mobile, structure. Ranked by what moves the needle versus what merely looks busy, so you can see why each fix is on the list.
GA4 and conversion events configured properly
A conversion event on every enquiry path, tested end to end, with your own team's traffic filtered out. From here on, the numbers are ones you can make decisions with.
Search Console set up and baselined
Under your Google account, not mine. The baseline matters, because in three months you'll want to know whether things improved, not be told they did.
The technical fixes implemented, not just listed
The audit items that can be fixed inside this project get fixed by me, on the site, within the project. No PDF sent to a developer who never opens it.
Structured data implementation
Organisation, service and FAQ markup so Google understands what you sell and where. One of the cheapest wins in search, and one of the most commonly skipped.
Google Business Profile optimisation
Categories, services, photos, posts and review strategy. For local enquiries this often outworks the website itself.
A keyword map and a written 30/60/90-day plan
What to target, what content is missing, and what to do in what order. Written in plain English so you, or anyone you hire, can run it without me.
How it runs
So you know what's happening and when, and so nobody has to ask for a status update.
The call
Thirty minutes on what you're spending, what you've been told, and what you can't currently see. If foundations aren't your problem, I'll say so and point you at what is.
Audit and tracking
Full technical crawl, then GA4, conversion events and Search Console rebuilt properly. Trustworthy data starts collecting now, so the baseline is real.
Fixes and structure
Technical fixes implemented on the site, structured data added, Google Business Profile sorted.
The map and the plan
Keyword map, content gap analysis, and the 30/60/90-day plan, walked through with you on a call rather than emailed and hoped about.
Yours
Every account, every login, every document sits under your ownership. Nothing about this project requires you to buy the next one.
What I need from you
The projects that run late almost always run late for one of these reasons, so they're worth reading properly before we start.
- Admin access to GA4 and Search Console, or the go-ahead to create them under your Google account
- Access to the site and hosting, because I implement fixes rather than emailing recommendations
- Access to your Google Business Profile, if one exists
- An hour with someone who knows which enquiries actually turn into money
- Anything the previous agency left behind, reports, keyword lists, logins, however incomplete
What's not included
On the public page rather than buried in the proposal, so there's no argument in week five.
- Ongoing optimisation
- Content writing
- Link building
- Ad spend or ad management
What happens if you don't do this
Do nothing. Keep spending against numbers you can't trust. The cost isn't the retainer you're already paying, it's every decision made on bad data, including the decision to keep paying.
Take a free audit. Plenty of agencies offer one. It's a sales document, generated by a tool in minutes, scariest findings first, priced fixes last. You get what the audit was designed to sell you. This one is priced, prioritised, implemented where possible, and yours to take anywhere, including to a cheaper supplier.
Fix the wrong layer. If the site itself is the problem, slow, broken on mobile, built on a platform that fights you, then foundations on top of it is money spent polishing a cracked base. Rebuild first, Rebuild & Replatform is the honest starting point, and it includes this technical layer inside it.

The last agency audited us too. How is this different?
Why the range between R22,000 and R35,000?
Do you guarantee rankings?
Who owns the accounts afterwards?
Do I have to take the retainer afterwards?
Can I spread the cost?

your problem?
One call, no deck. If this isn't the right package I'll tell you which is.
