No VAT is charged (not VAT-registered), so the price shown is the price you pay. Paid monthly there is no deposit: the same amount every month from the start, over 6 months on builds under R85,000 and over 12 months above that, with the total always shown. Paid once it is 50% to start and 50% on completion. Website and store builds paid monthly include managed hosting for the first year. Care runs with no lock-in, 30 days notice. Other retainers have a 3-month minimum, long enough for the work to show. UK and other international clients are quoted in local currency at local rates , ask for that price list.

small print

Am I just paying you a markup on hosting?
No, and you're welcome to keep your own hosting account and pay for it directly if you'd rather. What you're paying for here is that somebody monitors it, patches it, backs it up, tests the restores, and picks up the phone. Hosting is an ingredient, not the product.
What happens if the host itself goes down?
I standardise on one host I trust, and when there's an outage I'm the one dealing with them, not you. I'll tell you what happened and when it's back. What I won't do is promise an uptime figure I don't control, anyone who does is quoting you their supplier's marketing.
Do unused hours roll over?
No, and I'd rather say that plainly than bury it. The retainer buys availability and priority, not a bank of hours. If you consistently don't use your hours, tell me and we'll move you down a tier, I'd rather keep you for years than over-charge you for one.
Can I leave?
Any time. Care has no lock-in and no minimum term, just 30 days notice. When you leave you take the domain, the hosting account, the files and the documentation. Nothing is held hostage, that's the whole point of building it this way.
Do I need Care if you built my site?
Not necessarily. A static site with no forms and no changes will happily sit there for years. Care makes sense when the site matters to the business, when changes come up regularly, or when nobody internally owns it. If it doesn't apply to you, I'll say so.
